Members of Duane Morris' Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as other attorneys regularly host, lead and speak at events relating to multicultural and diversity issues.
Recent and upcoming events include:
- Co-Sponsor, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Diversity Executives Breakfast, discussing providing a forum to exchange ideas and forward-thinking best practices among business executives and other leaders in diversity.
- Duane Morris hosts Asian-American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts' Third Annual Speed Mentoring Night at the firm's Boston office.
- Lida Rodriguez-Taseff, speaker, Minority Corporate Counsel Association's 10th Annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference, discussing "Dos and Don'ts in Effectively Marketing Diversity."
- Junghye June Yeum, panelist, Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group Conference 2009 in Seoul, South Korea, discussing "Defining 'Best Practices of International Arbitration for Asia' I: Preliminary and Pleading Stages."
- Sheila Hollis, panel moderator, "Women as Catalysts in Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency," as part of the South Asia Women in Energy (SAWIE) Executive Exchange.
- Lida Rodriguez-Taseff, speaker, Minority Corporate Counsel Association's 10th Annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference. Rodriguez-Taseff will participate in a discussion on the topic of "Do's and Don'ts in Effectively Marketing Diversity." Partner and firm Chief Diversity Officer Nolan N. Atkinson, Jr.. serves on the Conference Advisory Board.
- Mehrin Masud-Elias, organizer, The South Asian Bar Association of Philadelphia "Chai Chat" featuring the Honorable Sabita Singh, Associate Justice of the District Court Department of the Trial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Masud-Elias is a member of the executive board of the South Asian Bar Association and holds the position of secretary.
